Since I did not use the donor steering column, two switches that are on the gear shift had to be relocated. These are Eric's calculations of the resistance values that needed to exist for a momentary up/down switch to shift the transmission manually when it is in manual mode. Since this transmission is a 6 speed it would take 9 positions if each needed spot was separate. GM eliminated that need by having Drive, Manual and First gear positions. When in Manual, the rocker switch allows the driver to select a specific gear from 1-6. That switch is the original generator start/stop switch on the center panel of the dash. A push button switch was also added for tow/haul mode.
