 This is the position, locked in place, that the tire is attached/unattached. Note that it is spring loaded to assist in lifting and lowering the tire. The wheel is attached to the piece that is hanging down so the wheel and tire remain in the upright position when lowering or raising the spare tire assembly. | ||
