Colorado Mega Rally - 2012
Author: BigRabbitMan (Show all albums)

This album shows a little of what the attendees did at the rally. While the rally was originally scheduled to be at a campground on the edge of Colorado Springs, due to forest fires the rally master, Jim Evans, with the assistance of Harry Day, secured spaces at another campground about 20 miles north. While the facilities were not near as ammendable to a rally, the people and coaches were the same and we had a great time. Don't miss the next rally!

The pictures are a compilation of the efforts of Nuntawan Camrye, Connie Kubiak & Barney Martin, Lynn Clugston, Kathleen Sitton, Greg Miller, Bill Rogers and Stephen Heinrichs.

You can see the group did some serious relaxing and visiting! While basic, the pavilion did make for a nice place to relax and visit and talk and eat and drink and just have a good time.

Here are Barney Martin and Connie Kubiak by #801. They were getting ready to head back to Michigan.

And away they go - wave to Barney.

Due to the changed location, many had to leave on Friday as the spaces had been previously reserved. Saturday morning, Harry, Bill S. and Stephen went down to the office and found another FMC parked out in front!

About that time, someone stirred inside. It turned out to be Ed Marshall of Southern California. He had been trying to get to the rally, but got a late start due to mechanical issues. He continued to have some issues, but persisted until he finally made it.

At this point we were down to 6 coaches so we had them all gather by the pavilion for some photo ops.

Here are Lynn and Ken Clugston with their granddaughter, Juliane. She really enjoyed the trip and the rally. It was her first trip in the FMC.

And here are the other three remaining coaches. Notice that the one on the left looks a little different: it is the transit conversion owned by Jim Steinborn and Bill Rogers, #839.

Here are the six remaining coaches behind the Pavilion. The crowd has thinned but no one wants to leave!

Nice looking coaches. Next time, it needs to be yours.

Another view and ...

... a veiw of all six from the other side.
