Felton Rally Nov '09 | ||
Author: BigRabbitMan (Show all albums) This is the album for a few of the pictures of the rally held in Felton, California Nov 6-8, 2009. We had a total of 10 FMC coaches at the rally and 13 owners for all or part of the rally. The furthest attendees came from over 2,000 miles way and the closest was 5 miles. Regardless of distance, we "met the nicest people" and had a great time. We missed you and hope to see you at the next rally. The photos are the combined effort of Ron and Louise Herbert, Harry and Sandy Day and Stephen Heinrichs. |

By Thursday evening/early Friday morning, there were three FMC's: Ron and Louise Herbert-#621, Stephen Heinrichs-#1046, Harry and Sandy Day-#400 and one SOB (Anna-friend Ron and Louise). | Ron and Stephen then set out to place proper signage on the road to direct coaches to the CG. This picture shows that we did put the signs out-three on the road and two at the campground. | It wasn't long before a beautiful coach showed up. It was Frank "Paco" and Mary Lou Ruiz of La Canada (Los Angeles area). Note that Ron quickly lent a hand by helping guide them into the space. | Well, Frank just made it out of the coach and the guys are already talking "guy talk". Harry has known Frank for a number of years through other (airplane) intrests.
Well, it wasn't much longer and two more coaches showed up. This one is Jim Woestman, #617, of Carthage, MO. Notice the nice spot among the redwood trees. | Here is another view of his spot. When I asked Jim if the signs had helped him find the turn off to the campground, he said "What signs?" Well it turns out that the three signs we put out on the road disappeared! Either a sign collector or a self appointed neighborhood cleanup person had snatched them! | Here we have #621, #1046 and the newly arrived #708-Greg and Liza Miller. He didn't see any signs either other than those within the campground. Please note the beginnings of a circle of chairs. That area became the focal point of the rally. | It is midday on Friday and the conversation circles are begining. On the right in this picture is coach #888-Carlton and Nuntawan Camyre of Benica, CA. Not visible is #617 to the left and #59 behind Harry's #400 and the Clugston's SOB (a Vogue) to the right.
Here you have Paco and Mary Lou Ruiz on the left, Ron Herbert, Stephen Heinrichs, Greg Miller, Carlton Camyre and, with her back showing, Sandy Day. At this point we have 7 FMC coaches and two SOB's. | Standing listening intently is Lynn Clugston and seated are Stephen Heinrichs, Paco Ruiz and Jim Woestman. Note that Stephen has his computer out and is getting ready to show Paco why he should get a computer to visit the club web site. | Seated is Harry Day, Lynn Clugston, Ken Clugston, Jim Woestman and Paco Ruiz. Just coming up are Carlton Camyre, his sons Joseph and Nick and his wife, Nuntawan. | Note that the focal point of this picture is the fire. Several of us brought well seasoned wood so we had enough to keep a steady, large fire going in the washing machine tub fire pit. With it's holes, it worked very well. Here we have Nuntawan, Carlton, Harry, Stephen, Paco, the Clugstons and Jim. Note that Stephen's computer is the second focal point as he is busy showing FMC lore to Paco.
