LCAC_Man #1027 LBZ Duramax Conversion

This album will cover the Duramax/Allison conversion(including dash cluster integration), installation of airbags to assist suspension, conversion of vacuum brakes to Hydroboost, replacement of Onan gas generator with a Onan/Cummins 5500LP, inverter/charger installation, dual roof a/c installation, and Bedroom reconfiguration that will add "pass-thru" storage.

as high as I could go and still clear the intake duct


passenger side factory mount tower that will be used with the new cross member


home made alignment pointers, need to lower it a 1/2"


new access cut open to allow larger transmission and easy access to work on it


supported from above to keep the area below clear


passenger side temp engine mount, these will be cut away as soon as the permanent structure is fabricated and installed.

original 23.25" duramax puller fan on the left, 17.5" original(to the 440 when I got it) pusher in the center, and new 24" pusher on the right


only 3/4" larger in diameter but wider blades


more blade pitch and much thicker blade material


got the backspacing measurement correct so no interference with the engine components

New passenger side mount, picked up the stock crossmember holes in the frame and will add 2 more up forward where the clamp is.
