Back from Quartzsite and back to work on the 'project'. This is the first disc mounted, right front. The clearance to wheel is really, really tight. Not much more than 1/16". Lots of fit up to get everything right. | Might have been easier to remove the front cap but making sure everthing fit I thought it needed to go this way. | (1 Comments) All fits but is really tight. Would make an OEM proud with the difficulty accessing this. | Mounted the hydroboost, master cylinder, remote reservoir.
This was a bit more complicated than I first thought. Of course! | An overview of the new brake parts that needed to be fabricated. A few more pieces on order, special hose and a few fittings and it should be ready for install. | Here you can see the float switch that warns if fluid is low. | Decided to add an extra support bracket to the hydroboost/master cylinder. Not much room under the hood to fabricate close tolerance pieces.
Here you can see how it goes together. | Another view of the bracket. | Here's the bracket for the reservoir. More going on here than meets the eye. | Another view of the adapters. There will be a hose barb attached and hose that goes to the master cylinder. Finding brake fluid rated hose/rubber bung seals is a real challenge.
