West Coast Plymouth Rally-Nov 2012
Author: BigRabbitMan (Show all albums) This album illustrates the enjoyment and learning that FMC Coach owners had at the recent rally. We had 9 FMCs and one SOB trailer plus two coach owners without their coaches do to inoperative conditions. The pictures are courtesy of Stephen Heinrichs and Larry Enoksen. |

Here Don is visiting with Mark Heinrichs, Stephen's son, and Mark's partner, Mia. An interesting fact that came up was that FMC designed the coach frame, but did not actually build it. Since many of the parts are stamped to form them, the frames were built by International or Dana as those companies had the large stamping machines needed. | Here we have Larry Enoksen, Don Reed, Carlton Camrye, Liza Lee Miller, Jim Woestman and Greg Miller discussing the coaches. | This Don Reed. He does not own an FMC coach. He is a tool and die maker and in that capacity he built the original jigs for the construction of the frames of our coaches so he has a long association with our coaches. He was up for the day as our guest. | ... and then there was Greg's dog! Note that the dog's head is larger and higher than Greg's while standing on the floor. It was Greg's Irish Wolfhound which was also very well behaved.
Frank "Paco" and Mary Lou Ruiz had cousins that lived nearby so they were taken out for some excursions with family. | After a while, Ed's two dogs decided to snuggle up to Stephen and go to sleep. When I left the coach I had to leave my coat so as to not disturb the dogs. | A few of us gathered in Jim Woestman's coach for morning coffee and breakfast. He is surrounded by the Camyre's dog and Ed Marshall's two dogs. All are very well behaved. To Jim's left is Stephen Heinrichs and then we have Ed Marshall. While we were in Jim's coach, Nuntawan Camrye was doing the cooking when I, Stephen, showed up. | Visiting and talking is a lot of what we do. Here Joe Camrye and his mother, Nuntawan talk with Jim Woestman and Ed Marshall. Joe is petting Ed's two dogs.
It didn't take long for the people to start to stop while passing by to ask about the coaches. Jim Woestman, on the right, is explaining the coaches to a person who turned out to be a former employee of the FMC Ordinance Division in the '50s. | Not too many coaches have chrome wheel well trim. This is on #886 and he thinks it is from a Ford F-350. | Another view of the coach. It will be sold as soon as 1046 is back on the road. | There is always new informtion at any rally and this one was no exception. For this rally the new info that was released to the rally goers first was that Stephen Heinrichs purchased another coach, #386, to use while his #1046 is under going an engine transplant.
