Rt 66 Rally - 2009

This is a photo gallery of a few of the photos taken by Stephen Heinrichs. The first few pictures document a little of the 2,000 mile trip it took to get to the rally location in Springfield, MO from California. The rest of the pictures document the visits to special attractions arranged by the Rally Master and Route 66 itself. A great time was had by all.

Here is a storage shed. Note the construction.

Here is the marshal's office with the actual jail cell inside.

Little Roy's curiosity my get him into the hoosgow! That is a jail box where the local drunks or others are held for a day or two until sober or picked up and transfered to an actual jail.

Here we are with Lowell Davis in the living room of his house. Note that the house is made of hand hewn logs.

Here Suzanne Borrmann is taking a picture of Rachel, Roy and Jesse in the Chrysler truck. Note the figurines in the truck. The General Store is in the background.

Here is the school.

Red Oak is a historic town that artist Lowell Davis (google his name for more info) has created by moving many original buildings from where he grew up and creating some others. Everything is tied together historically.

Here we have parked so that we can visit our first stop.
