I was getting 14.4 volts all the way to here. The battery isolator. From here, the wire only goes down to the 440 starter motor, then to the battery. So I cleaned all three of the posts and wire ends...Wall-la...full juice to the battery now.

I adjusted the voltage down to 14.4 coming out of the alternator. I then followed the voltage path to the engine battery. The 440 battery was only seeing 12.5 volts, while the house batteries where now getting 14+ volts?? Time to start looking...

Here's the plug you remove on the regulator (on the end of my allen wrench) in order to get to the adjustment screw. On my first attempt at adjusting the voltage, I thought the allen wrench did the adjustment? It says right on the regulator "remove plug to adjust voltage". I thought the "plug" was missing? I was looking for a plastic plug or cap to remove?? Wheres my Dunce hat?? After you remove the "plug", a #1 Phillips screw driver will make your adjustment.

Here's what was under that electrical tape. You can see the wire at some point got hot, or smashed on one end, but it also had knife marks from someone removing the insulation? Not sure what when on there, but I made a new pig tail and soldered it in.

My aftermarket "house battery" volt meter on my dash was telling me my alternator was putting out 15+volts...The factory engine volt meter in the instrument cluster was reading higher than normal also...time for an adjustment. The first thing I noticed on the regulator was the "ign" wire had issues under some electrical tape, when I wiggled the wire, the voltage out of the alt would drop some on my meter? Hmm..

I love the added 110v lighting in the engine bay

I replaced it with 1/2" rubber airbrake line found at any big rig supply house. I really should replace ALL the 1/2" vacuum line front to rear

Here's the vacuum supply line to the rear hydrovac...I'd say it was tired.

I have a couple fancy spare tires....Thanks Stephen. And Harry.

You can tell what I'm doing here....

Here's tube #4 that was ready to blow anytime. Three out of six went flat setting in the driveway, they all failed in this same spot. Do not buy tubes off of Ebay!!! I purchased these two years ago along with my tires, and now I'm out 150 bucks because I waited to install them until two months ago. I changed out the flat ones of course...Then I went ahead and changed the other three out this weekend knowing I would have tire issues on the way to Oakridge...Glad I did!!!!
