West Coast Gold Beach Rally - July 2013
Author: BigRabbitMan (Show all albums) This album covers a little bit of the fun we had at the Gold Beach, OR rally. We had 8 FMC coaches plus three more owners whose coaches were not able to travel at this time. This rally was unusual in that we had a major Saturday activity with a jet boat ride up the Roque River. It was enjoyed by all that could make it. The photos are courtesy of Stephen Heinrichs, Nuntawan Camrye, and Larry Enoksen. |

Here is a patch of wild rubarb. Time to gather some for a rubarb pie! | ... and another bald eagle. This is how they looked to us without camera zoom. If you can't see it, then ... | ... look here in this picture where I zoomed in to show it better. | After most of the day on the river, we returned to the rally site and relaxed and got ready for snacks and dinner. Here we have Greg Miller, Gage Miller, Nuntawan Camrye, Carlton Camrye and Larry Enoksen.
Also we have Ed Marshall, Liza Lee Miller and Ed's sister, Debbie Marshall. | Continuing around the platform, we have Alice Kamm, Jim Woestman, Laura Lumibao, Dean Lumibao, and Michael Metsch. | Continuing the rotation, we have Ed Hannevig enjoying some lemon pie and Stephen Heinrichs behind the camera (yes, I am a little hard to see!) | (1 Comments) As we slowly gravitated into dinner and eating good solid food like the ribs by Nuntawan with MO barbeque sauce and roasted chicken, we were VERY pleasently surprised again when Dean Lumibao laid out the fresh whole salmon that he had been quietly cooking on the adjacent barbeque. If the Lumibao's are coming to a rally, be sure to be there as they have spoiled us! Note: Dean has informed me that they will be at the Mega Rally in Carthage, MO next summer.
The next morning and all is quiet. Here is Jim Woestman's coach in a spot that that shows you what can be the reward at the end of a long drive. Jim came the farthest so he got one of the premire spots. Tough to beat it and a good reason to have an FMC. | To the left of Jim's coach is the Miller's coach. As Western VP and Rally Master, he also got a great spot. Notice the five white markers on the post to the left of the sign. Those mark the high water mark in various years, but they do NOT include the record year of 1964 as the high water mark would be higher than the top of the post! | A wonderfull morning view and it is almost coffee time. | Well Jim's got his coffee while Dean is finishing up his pancake under Laura's watchful eye. Evelyn Hannevig is also enjoying the morning sun. But notice the bowl on the table. It is full of fresh, sweet, tasty blackberries that Dean and Laura picked from the vines that were on the bank behind their coach. They spoiled us again! P.S. The photographer ate more than his share.
