Parts from two 90cm (drivers side)and two 70cm (Passenger side)IKEA bedbases was used to make two of these. With the right mattresses this should give us real comfy and well ventilated beds.

Attached some of the original vinyl covered parts to check everything is done right. The upholstery will be the last part of the rebuild I guess. I would prefer to have it all done in leather but time will have to show if I can afford that.

Still missing for the bench top. The nose edge profile was a bit of a challenge but we believe to have it sorted soon.

Table fixtures sits deep in the insulation and I was concerned that I would have to make spacers for them but that was not nesessary no problem.

Will make a drawer where the low mount stove used to be. If I can't find a retro style 230v microwave

Happy with the edge trim. Got it from a marine shop on eBay.

Got the bath duck. And no, that ain't shampoo :-)

The big issue with the countertop is the original raised nose edge. The red piece is the original one. This kind of woodwork is way out of my league and my good friend Henning has come to my resque.

So far so good

Here Henning is gluing the lower extension on the edge.

Yes! Vacuum laminating the Formica next.
