New spare tire cover, made by the Holland Bar Stool Company. Fits great and hopefully will last a few years in the SoCal sun.. | Lower tank leaked immediately on getting filled, discovered that good old RVS strikes again and had covered the drain port when re-insulating the under floor and installing new belly pans...would have been nice if they had fully tightened the plug in the bottom of the tank..I've got a temp drain in there now. | (1 Comments) so after getting the lower tank tight all hell broke loose on the upper tank.. | (2 Comments) I had no idea the tank vent ran into the wall..??
(1 Comments) upper tank removed so that I could dry the area and assess the damage.. | not an "off the shelf" tank.. | the small upper vent fitting is the only one that isn't cracked.. | All three of the 1 1/4" fittings are split just like this.
And then there's a 3" long vertical crack on the forward side of the tank. | (3 Comments) figured I might as well do some good, cleaned up the floor panel and put down some POR-15. Got a couple spots where the carpet glue needed to be cleaned better so I'll acetone wipe and touch those in tomorrow | My local plastics shop (MGM Plastics, San Marcos, CA.) was able to repair my upper water storage tank. This is the new forward inlet fitting. | New rear outlet (to the lower tank) fitting.
