Author: LCAC_Man (Show all albums) This album will cover the Duramax/Allison conversion(including dash cluster integration), installation of airbags to assist suspension, conversion of vacuum brakes to Hydroboost, replacement of Onan gas generator with a Onan/Cummins 5500LP, inverter/charger installation, dual roof a/c installation, and Bedroom reconfiguration that will add "pass-thru" storage. |

loading up the shoot...first one up is the 9200btu forward unit.. | By the end of the day both are installed and tested...making nice cold air on an 85dg day.. | (2 Comments) The forward/smaller (9200btu)unit will be exclusively our "driving" air conditioning and run off the 4000watt inverter/580ah battery bank/270amp alternator (I have dual alternators). | Rear bedroom build out has begun.
Enclosing the area and yet keeping sufficient access to the batteries, air filter and transfer switch required a little extra thought. | looks like a simple connection from the plywood to the existing wall skin...I promise you getting the wall skin straight enough to work with was a huge PITA.. | view through my new pass-thru stowage area | two sub-panels in the center allow access from under the yet to be built bed frame to get to the batteries
upper sub panel installed, the bed frame will cover the open area forward of that and it will all be new storage. | Decided it was time to get the engine bay covers reinstalled. Thanks to Stephen and Eric I had kept all the shims in proper order so it wasn't too bad of a job. | (2 Comments) Freshened up the grill insert and reinstalled. | Installed the "deluxe" side marker lights, the little stuff really does make a difference.
