Author: BigRabbitMan (Show all albums) This album illustrates the enjoyment and learning that FMC Coach owners had at the recent rally. We had 9 FMCs and one SOB trailer plus two coach owners without their coaches do to inoperative conditions. The pictures are courtesy of Stephen Heinrichs and Larry Enoksen. |

Here we have Laura Lumibao heading off to do a little shopping and eating as part of a group that went to XXXXXX to enjoy some of the sights of the California Gold Country. | And the visiting and conversations continued with Larry, Joe and Nuntawan, Carlton, Eric and Mary Ann all enjoying the day. | The next morning, Paco and Mary Lou Ruiz had to travel. They get the prize(s) for: lowest numbered coach #059, longest owned at 27 years and for being the most mature at 80 yrs young. | More eating of food. I think Mary Lou is going back for thirds! Also during dinner, the drawing was held for the FMC T-shirts designed and sold by NRS (Northwest River Supply). NRS donated two shirts and Larry Enoksen donated one shirt for the raffle. To purchase one or other items from NRS, go to http://www.nrsweb.com/shop/product.asp?pfid=7560&pdeptid=2062
After a break, it was time for the potluck dinner. We had a lot of different foods as it seemed everyone cooked their "specialty". I and everyone else ate too much. | As part of the meeting, Don Reed gave a short summary of his work at the beginning of our coach's creation. First, it was noted that the coach division was located in Riverside, CA and not in Santa Clara. It was only after about 6 coaches were built that the Riverside facility was closed and the coach division moved to Santa Clara adjacent to the ordinance division. Don was the only plant employee transfered to the new location. Not too long afterward, he was transferred from the coach division to the ordinance division and his work with the coaches ended. | With coach tours completed, we gathered at the hall for a club meeting. | Notice that most of the engine compartment doors are now open and left that way. Much easier to wander from engine compartment to engine compartment!
It looks like Gage Miller is ready to go!! Varooom, varooom! | They also have a rather unusual tow vehicle as it is a VW powered tricycle. | Their's was also the only coach at the rally with the supplemental storage compartment added under the coach. | You can see that there is a slightly different intrusion into the storage compartment as they have a nicely done, custom interior a large counter on your right as you enter the coach. The upholstery has been done with white leather.
