The inspection and consultation continues with Ed adding some supervisor skills. | It looks like people are starting to gather around the fire pit behind Greg's coach 708 for some snacks or beverages. | Now this is a nice looking coach. This is Paco and Mary Lou Ruiz's coach #059. It was the lowest number at the rally and one of the nicest. Since Paco purchased the coach over 20 years ago, he has put 140,000 miles on it and it runs like a top. | Yes, I was right! Ron Herbert and Paco Ruiz have found the predinner snacks as mainly prepared by Louise Herbert and assisted by others. I love her baked brie. |
That evening we were joined by Al Vormittag. He is the senior VP of the International Area of FMCA and is currently staying in Southern CA. He gave a short presentation and then we had a question and answer session. His wife, Bobbi, is to his left. He separately told me, Stephen Heinrichs, that we are an example of how RVing should be as we are a friendly, fun group. He was also very pleased to see a group with children as too often he only sees groups with mature coach owners. We had four children at this rally. | Ah, another leg photo opprotuniy! The legs in shorts are that of Eric Whedon who is consulting with Lou Cruse under Eric's coach. | Jim Woestman came through some weather on his way from Missouri in 617 to the rally. Fortunately, a local wash service gave a group rate to the FMC owners that wanted a wash. Jim's coach really shined after the wash. They really scrubbed it. | Here is #617 all nice and shiny! Now if you had been at the rally, perhaps your coach could have been the one sitting in this spot all nice and shiny. |
It looks like Jim Woestman has an adult beverage in one hand and is starting to cook a hot dog on the fire with the other hand. All is good! | Look what Jim started! We now have five sticks toasting various things on the fire in the fire box. There was room for you if you had been there. | Enough with the cooking, it is time for eating! Some of the people in the circle going counter clockwise from the empty chair they are Eric Whedon, Toni Whedon, Eric's sister Karen, her husband Jim, Ron Herbert, Louise Herbert, Gage Miller, Greg Miller, a guest, Ruth Miller and Anna (who is a friend of the Herberts and is considering switching to an FMC). | And yes, the FMC fire box provided a nice warming and toasting fire for all three days of the rally. Stephen Heinrichs provided the fire box and a good supply of aged almond fire wood. |
