Here's the slip yoke and yoke shaft that make up the drive shaft. The slip is a Spicer 3-3-1511KX, the yoke shaft is 3-82-811. These use the 1410 series ujoint also. The Allison yoke is a 1480 so a conversion ujoint 3-1448 (1410/1480) will be used there. | Here is the Tesla parking caliper I'll be using. As I understand it these were used for parking but also could be deployed as an emergency brake during a brake failure. | These things can be bought on Ebay for not much money. The electric control isn't very difficult and there is a controller available for not too much $$. I may try one of my own though, we'll see. | This was a fun bracket to make. Its to hold the tesla caliper to the Allison tail housing. | ||
Different view of caliper. I had to reverse the motor on the caliper 180 degrees. It is a simple job, remove and replace two screws and try not to get any of the small gears released. Needed to reverse the electric receptacle for access. | (2 Comments) Here is how it looks from behind. Over 90% of pad is in contact with new rotor. Should offer plenty of grip.(I hope) | Here I added some extra support for the bracket, just in case.... | Added an after market down pipe. The OEM's had lots of crushed places that were needed to clear the fire wall. These flow much better and help with maintaining exhaust as well as engine temps. | ||
I reinstalled the OEM heat shield. Had to beat in up a little where the factory had followed the stock bends.
