(2 Comments) Cavernous space for large house batteries, inverter/charger and remote hydroboost brake system. | Since I'm moving forward with the wiring it was time to make some room, existing engine driven a/c system will be completely removed. | Routed the fuse block and data conductors into the new interface box, still a lot of work to do here, I'll be bringing in Class 2 data cable to tie in the body control module, throttle pedal and dash cluster up front. I'll also be installing a few relays for fans and fuel lift pump control. | Fuse Block and computers reinstalled (I painted the area out with some high solids marine topside paint), they should be in for good now.
(2 Comments) I used the factory mount bracket and cut a 20dg backside miter wedge out of the two upper mount tab positions(rewelded on the inside), then reshaped the lower mount to match them. I used the aluminum plate to better load spread and it made transferring the hole pattern a lot easier. | Silverado throttle pedal mounted, I played with position for awhile to be sure it was at a natural/comfortable height and angle. | (3 Comments) Last remnants of the RVS hack job of the hydraulic throttle installation removed. They had beat the floor down to match their poor fit up of the pocket that it sat in so it took me an extra hour to straighten the floor back up before welding in the patch. | had to get the upper air bag mounts burned in so that I could route wiring and brake lines. the chrome tube just mimics the inflated height of the bag so that I have a target to use for the lower mount (still working that out)
and I have to patch up the hack job that RVS did installing the Hydraulic Throttle control.. | access will help for new throttle pedal install, bcm integration trailer brake controller, tow brake system, air control system, rear view camera and re-configuring of lighting (probably more I'm forgetting) | source of the water leak, you can see the fitting is cracked and the hose is loose, water would run along the bottom of the hose and dripped right on the accessory relay. | testing existing circuits revealed a faulty Accessory Buss Relay, when I found it it was obvious that a water leak had killed it.
