West Coast Rally - Nov 12-14 Buellton, CA
Author: BigRabbitMan (Show all albums)

This is a collection of pictures that show a little of the activities at the rally. We all had a great time renewing old friendships and creating new ones. The photos were taken by Stephen Heinrichs and Eric Whedon.

Here we have Jim O'Connor discussing things with Mary Lou Ruiz. Jim and his broter, Gerry, are new owners and members while Mary Lou and Paco Ruiz have owned their coach the longest of the group.

Here we have Greg Miller, Western Area VP, seated and Frank "Paco" Ruiz.

On the left is Harry Day of Oregon and Jim Woestman of Cartage, MO. These are two very talented individuals. It is good to be around those that know more than you do. That way we learn and learn.

Jim's brother, Gerry O'Connor, on the left and Ron Herbert are enjoying the conversation.

As you can see, the group is being supervised by Liza Lee Miller. The Millers got an upscaled space with more "patio area" and it provided a good location for extended visiting and eating.

The Millers dog was very attentive to the food but never stepped out of the door without approval.

Another view of the gathering spot next to the Miller's coach.

This fine responsible young lady is Ruth Miller and she is organizing the bicycles.

And here is the sneak photo of the rally! Louise Herbert was the organizer for the Saturday evening potluck dinner. Only she also cooked a large portion of it in their coach #621. Don't let anyone tell you that the kitchen is too small. Louise just kept the good stuff coming and coming. One of my favoites were the hot pastries stuffed with brie that you see cooling on the stove.

When evening came, it was time to light the fire. Well, if you are going to have a fire, have a good fire!! Since we had three Fire Boxes available, we put them together and fired them all up. It made for a great evening discussion atmosphere. And we didn't even bubble the paint on Greg's coach.

Another view. The one on the left is Jim Woestman's, the middle one is on it's way to Bill "No Fire" Sitton, and the one on the right is Stephen Heinrichs'. After the Minden, NE rally and raffle of the original Fire Box (won by Denny Shewmake of GA) others liked it so much they requested one for themselves. If you want one with your coach number on it, the instructions will be posted in the Forum area.

Sunday morning arrived and so did Harry Day! He got to looking at the damaged duct and decided to do something about it. He hauled out three tools: a tire changer's spoon, a ten pound sledge, and the most marvelous pliers that I have ever seen.
