West Coast Oregon Rally October 2020
Author: BigRabbitMan (Show all albums)

This photo album shows a few things that we did at the rally. The main thing was that we were able to meet new people, some new owners, and visit with old friends that we knew from previous rallies. Much time was spent just visiting and exchanging information and stories. Some parts changed hands as well. The pictures were provided by Stephen Heinrichs, Vicki Alstrom and Joe Johnson.

Carl and Tracy brought their three rescue boxer mix dogs with them so that they could enjoy the outing as well. They are three nice, well behaved companions. Unfortunately this one was sad when a post entangled it's lead, but waited patiently for rescue! The photographer solved the issue.

A gaggle of people outside of Mark and Wendy Pitts coach 850. This illustrates how people and conversations flowed from one area to another. I see Frank Borrmann of Ontario, Canada in the red shirt in this picture.

Another view of coach 324 owned by Dan Karnath.

Carl, Larry and Dan in one of those very informative discussions! Two of Carl's Boxer mix dogs are listening!

To make room for the second couch in an M model, the kitchen is greatly reduced. This model was anticipated to be used most frequently for entertaining rather than camping, there is no stove. As you can see, the refrigerator has be downsized to fit under the counter, the stove and oven have been replaced by a microwave and the sink was changed to a typical bar sink. One could still cook if a portable induction stove top was brought along. I am not sure where, but a wine rack was included somewhere!

Now this is why we have rallies! Coach 862 owned by Mike Hood is an M model and this is the first one that I have had the opportunity to photograph. This is how the front seating area is setup. Note that the table is also different. The driver's chair has been upgraded.

This is a very original interior of coach 724 a J or couch model. It has the original gas stove and oven with the cover over the burners, original driver seat and original tables that can be rotated for different configurations. The rear view mirror has been changed.

Here you can see one bunk bed ready for use and the other one tucked away. As you can see, they are most suitable for children or smaller adult. They were tested by a 200+ lb. man as well!

Unfolded and ready for occupancy, you can see how it is suspended and ready for use. It is a very unique design that allowed the installation of the bunk beds in a very restricted space.

As you can see, there was one on each side.

The "late" coaches e.g. numbers 646 and higher were modified with shallower bedroom cabinets to make space for optional bunk beds. Here you cans see where the bunk bed resides when not in use.

It appears that Harry Day, coach 400, has joined the conversation with Dan and Doug. Harry and Sandy have owned their coach #400 since the early 1990's.
