Chama Mega Rally 2018 | ||
Author: BigRabbitMan (Show all albums) This is an album that tries to give you a little taste of what it is like to attend a rally. What is not here is all the information exchanged during the many conversations. |

Passing over the second high trestle which was 137 ft high and built many, many years ago. | Steam engine's source of power is a hot coal fire and as a result a common side effect is to start fires alongside of the tracks. Due to the fire risk with the hot weather the train is followed by two small units with water tanks to put out any fires that the engines have caused. | Passing over one of two high trestles. | Jim and others in our car must have seen something on the left. Note that the cars are all from long ago.
There was great scenery throughout the six hour trip, but when those aspen trees turn color in the fall it is exceptional. | Most of the group participated in the optional train ride. Many of them are milling around on the platform prior to boarding. | (2 Comments) No rally would be complete without someone sliding under a coach to see how someone else did something to their coach. I know who this is but will allow him to remain nameless! | The food finally got there! We had a potluck one night and the leftovers from the potluck the next night! The food was top notch!
Sandy Day, Helen Wolfe, Dave Wolfe and Harry Day with coaches in the background. | Dave Wolfe and Harry Day are having an important discussion. | We have Larry and Greg in the foreground and a bunch of ladies in the background. I also see the appearance of an oven. Food is also important. | Ok, now I see the watermelon at the far left of the table!
