Converting 669 to an oil burner.

You can see here the CAC radiator hangs partially below the side vent. The additional opening should help.

Tried to save the old glove box but 'no joy'. Near 50 years tends to cause a bit of distress on things. Anyway, here was the solution, not great but it'll work. The back is built so it can be removed if necessary as there are a number of relays behind it that are difficult to reach.


New dash with donor trucks cluster. Lots of work here.


Trying to clean up some of the loose ends. Here's how I covered the rear trans access hole. The black material you see sticking out from the aluminum is a closed cell foam. Works as a seal and a little noise control.


About all that's needed now is the sound absorption material.


Here's where the engine intake air comes in through the drivers side grill.


Because I'm using the stock air filter it was necessary to adapt the 8 1/2" filter housing down to a more manageable 5".
