Author: hal (Show all albums) Converting 669 to an oil burner. |

Here you can see the isolation mounts for the heat exchanger. Finding high temp, oil resistant mouunts that can be used in shear was an issue. | here's the CAC radiator. The radiator extends below the door lovers (the aluminum horizontal you see ) so I'll put a few openings in the lower fiberglass for more air flow | (1 Comments) The fuse panel location is pretty much dictated by the harness length if you don't want to lengthen a load of wires. You can see the engine PCM as well as the transmission computer. I used a PCM mounting bracket from a Duramax Van and the stock fuse box from the donor truck. Busy corner. | This is a new access door for the front HB. Too bad 669 didn't have one before.
This is the radiator for the water to air intercooler. It will have fans to pull air through it and will be ducted down and out. | This is a shot of the steering box (one of the 21 or so HD boxes FMC used for some reason). I'm using two hydroboost units in place of the hydrovacs FMC used. The blue line is the case drain for the front hydroboost, the upper line is the new high pressure line from the front HB. | New junction box for LOTS of wires. | Another angle with the new 370 amp alternator installed.
Here are a couple of brackets to support the Turbo tubing. | This will be my second alternator and be used only for the house. It can be configured for conventional or Lithium batteries. It's rated 370 amp although the as tested made 410. US made with a good warrantee. The 370 is the most a 6 grove belt will support. | A bit more 'bling' than I prefer but it is what it is. | (1 Comments) Something new in the mail today.
