Here's the plug you remove on the regulator (on the end of my allen wrench) in order to get to the adjustment screw. On my first attempt at adjusting the voltage, I thought the allen wrench did the adjustment? It says right on the regulator "remove plug to adjust voltage". I thought the "plug" was missing? I was looking for a plastic plug or cap to remove?? Wheres my Dunce hat?? After you remove the "plug", a #1 Phillips screw driver will make your adjustment.

I adjusted the voltage down to 14.4 coming out of the alternator. I then followed the voltage path to the engine battery. The 440 battery was only seeing 12.5 volts, while the house batteries where now getting 14+ volts?? Time to start looking...

I was getting 14.4 volts all the way to here. The battery isolator. From here, the wire only goes down to the 440 starter motor, then to the battery. So I cleaned all three of the posts and wire ends...Wall-la...full juice to the battery now.

Here's my voltage reading AT the engine battery with everything warm, both front 12v heat and rear 12v heat running full blast, and the head lights on. Just a bump over 13v. I'd call this a happy charging system.

Pulled the furnace out and bench tested it, worked great. Cleaned it up and will be reinstalling soon....

I had to take the cut off wheel and trim the upper fiberglass a 1/4" in order to "smoothly" slide the furnace back into 850. I had to do the same with the AC units on the other side...I used a piece of masking tape for a guide.

Started on my transit conversion this morning...

Finally got around to wiring in my new AC thermostats....I wasn't sure which avenue I was going to take (a year ago) for powering the AC compressor's, so I ran 4000' of romex just in case I decided to install exterior closet mounted thermostats. I would like to install a roof top unit in the future, but for now these will work for my rare use of air conditioning.

These are manual on/off 20amp 110v switched thermostats....
