Heres the fuel gauge quacker taped to the rear window. I had to do this in order to figure out why I was loosing fuel pressure. As i drove down the road, a helper watched the gauge and noted air bubbles and fuel pressure loss. | (1 Comments) I tied the fuel pressure gauge post pump to see what happens when we drive, sure enough, air bubbles and zero pressure under full throttle. The air bubbles in the system were present though from the beginning, but when I would hammer the throttle under a load, a large burst of air would appear. My fuel filter pre pump was sucking air. | I couldn't find this o-ring locally anywhere, so I ordered it off Ebay. This is the speedometer gear housing o-ring for the 727 tranny. | Here's tube #4 that was ready to blow anytime. Three out of six went flat setting in the driveway, they all failed in this same spot. Do not buy tubes off of Ebay!!! I purchased these two years ago along with my tires, and now I'm out 150 bucks because I waited to install them until two months ago. I changed out the flat ones of course...Then I went ahead and changed the other three out this weekend knowing I would have tire issues on the way to Oakridge...Glad I did!!!!
You can tell what I'm doing here.... | I have a couple fancy spare tires....Thanks Stephen. And Harry. | Here's the vacuum supply line to the rear hydrovac...I'd say it was tired. | I replaced it with 1/2" rubber airbrake line found at any big rig supply house. I really should replace ALL the 1/2" vacuum line front to rear
(3 Comments) I love the added 110v lighting in the engine bay | My aftermarket "house battery" volt meter on my dash was telling me my alternator was putting out 15+volts...The factory engine volt meter in the instrument cluster was reading higher than normal also...time for an adjustment. The first thing I noticed on the regulator was the "ign" wire had issues under some electrical tape, when I wiggled the wire, the voltage out of the alt would drop some on my meter? Hmm.. | Here's what was under that electrical tape. You can see the wire at some point got hot, or smashed on one end, but it also had knife marks from someone removing the insulation? Not sure what when on there, but I made a new pig tail and soldered it in.
