(3 Comments) This picture clearly illustrates the state of the el system on 477. Problems and fire just waiting to happen. | Last piece of the interior not been torn out on the coach. Time to do the dash, lets see whatis inside. | Heater with hoses and a couple of wiper motors, nothing to complicated in here. | (1 Comments) This is the main aluminum cross member inside dash. It's marked the serial number of a later coach. Have seen other numbers elswhere. They must have had some slack in their material planning back in the days.
This is the heater defroster outlet. This shows the full open position on the lever. Here we have ptential for better defroster performance by adjusting it and making it open fully. | (4 Comments) Backside of the instrument cluster. Clearly maked with "Leddy" and the date 12-4-73. Thanks Leddy. Will start some rewiring and resoldering to make everything as new or better back here. | (1 Comments) This is the fuel gauge and its old terminals. | (1 Comments) Soldered and marked with printed heatshrink tube insulation.
New ignition switch. | (2 Comments) All done. A little less wires as I removed the wires for the optional(?)rear window washer, heater and wiper. Those switches must have been the ment to go in the two spare posisions cut in the aluminum plate, below the front left and right wiper switches. Zipties insted of tape makes everything a little better to work on later. Have ordered colored led's for all lamps and instrument lightning. Will have to do something to dashboard face plate also while we are at it. | The front had to come off again to repair rust damage to structure in left lower front corner. Now was a good time to do it as I needed to be able to reach all the wiring. In this picture the old foam insulation is removed. | This is the damage I have been talking about. I feared it was more but this is quite easy to fix and I belive this is the last spot of bad rust on the coach.More on this in the other gallery.
