HELLO FELLOW FMC FOLKS. CURRENTLY I AM PLANNING THE INSTALLATION OF MY REAR DOUBLE BED AND OFFICE ARRANGEMENT. THE REAR OF THE COACH HAS BEEN STRIPPED AND A LARGE ENGINE SERVICE HOLD CUT, EXPOSING ALL OF THE ENGINE, VERY NICE ! THIS OF COURSE WILL BE UNDER THE NEW DOUBLE BED. I WOULD LIKE TO CUT A HOLE FOR A FAN TASTIC FAN OR SKYLITE SOME WHERE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE BEDROOM CEILING. WHERE IS THE BEST PLACE TO DO THIS CONSIDERING THE ROOF / CEILING FRAME STRUCTURE ? I AM ALSO CONSIDERING REMOVING THE THE TWO 120 VOLT REFRIGERATION UNITS AND USING THIS SPACE FOR STORAGE. I WOULD LIKELY INSTALL ONE ROOF AC. UNIT IN THE CURRENT CENTER VENT HOLE. DOES ANY ONE HAVE EXPERANCE IN DOING THIS ? THANKS FRANK FREDA 805-886-7500 SANTA BARBARA CA.

I don't know if all FMC's have similar frames or not. But, on my coach, the rear vent, where I have installed a Fantastic Fan, is centered on the ceiling, side to side. In the other direction (front to back), the centerline of the vent is 44 inches from the wall of the bathroom (I am assuming your bathroom wall is still in tact).

My coach has two small Ventline fans in the bedroom, all the way in the rear, in each corner. I assumed the PO installed them because I didn't see them listed in the parts manual. I could be wrong though.

I installed a carb today and could have used that engine service hole you made in the bedroom floor.

Vin, thanks for the response. Installing a carb. would be a piece of cake through the hole I cut in the area right above the engine. Have not reinforced the area or made a permeant cover yet. Will post a picture soon. Thanks Frank Freda

I installed similar fans in my coach in the back corners. There were reading lights there originally. But, who needs reading lights with iPads?? : )

Dan, thanks for verifying the 44". I now know what to do. Thanks Frank Freda
