Subject: Exterior door & hinge removal...

Done my due diligence: scoured the parts & service manuals and searched the OG Forum trying to find useful information on removal/installation of the drivers & passenger side doors.

My hinges are all rusty and in need of some love.

I can find no useful guidance anywhere; regardless, I do recall reading something about door & hinge removal many years ago. Not sure where I'd read it and only vaguely recall some advice about being careful not to drop shit down in behind the door jamb or such as it would be lost.

I'm considering sending the hinges out for re-chroming but may also be able to live with simply masking off in place then prepping to paint in a solid colour lacquer or such.

Anyone done this job (door removal, reinstall, adjust) work before?

Installed hundreds of doors on buildings in my time but never on one of these babies.

Any and all help appreciated.

Thanks!
