I've looked but haven't found the suggested method for tightening wheel bearings on the FMC. The normal method I've used on lighter weight vehicles may not be the best for the FMC. It seems there 'should' be information in the manuals but I've been unable to find it there.
Any insight?
Thanks, Hal

Just saw this now.
Service Manual/Wheels/Tires pp. 8-7 (bottom right) it says... "install hub & drum over brake shoes and onto spindle... position bearing cone on spindle... install washer & axle nut... tighten till no side-play is present... then install new cotter pin."

I haven't read this for some time and it seems to me that some may think you need to tighten it another 1/4 turn or such. Not really sure about this. Guess following the manual is king. Likely a good idea to jack each wheel off the ground after a couple hundred miles to confirm there's no new sideplay. Good luck!

Thank you, I looked but missed that section. They do recommend a slightly different method than others. Good to know.
