| I've been exploring the options for tires (19.5's) and find the 8r19.5's difficult to locate. I see where the metric 225x70x19.5 are fairly easy to find but aren't quite as tall. Can anyone tell me what the largest metric tire that will work with the Alcoas's in the dual (rear) application? Still in the hunt but it seems almost anything I've come accross needs new shoes.
Thanks for any help, Hal |

| Thanks Len. I'm really trying to find the widest tire that will fit the Alcoa dual wheel spacing. Trying to get tires mounted in a unfamiliar location, not to mention having them shipped there (where ever there is) can be a problem. I've been looking at a couple of coaches that will need new tires before I'd even consider moving them. A Dmax/Allison will be mated with whatever unit I get and I want to get the correct rubber on it from the start. The 8r19.5 seems to be the best bet but not available from my go to guys @ Discount Tire.
Thanks, Hal |

Location: Oceanside, CA | I was very happy with them, they required almost no balancing weights, tracked straight and were very quiet. They were the tallest of all the 8r19.5 tires I could find as well. On my new coach (Foretravel Grand Villa Unihome) I run Hercules Strong Guard HRD tires...they are truly awesome...but...not available in 19.5" at all.. |
