Contributor Location: Lake Waynoka, Sardinia, OH | Fate has it this FMC is only 10 miles from my lake. Considering We just bought one two days ago I don't think the missus agrees we need a donor bus or another project. My gut tells me to buy it and part it out or alternately, park it for future use. Any thoughts on this diesel conversion? I always wanted to build a mobile sound recording studio for events. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Fmc-motorhome/283853871758?hash=item4217025... Elite Veteran Location: Victoria, BC. Canada | The Alcoa's are worth $500 ea all day. It's probably the greatest upgrade for an FMC, if you can find'em. I'm partial to the PS engine and think they're great; conversely, the E40D is a POS and would be the first to go if I bought it. I've had two nightmares (read: $$$$) with that transmission. I'd favor an Ally or even the 4R100 as a replacement. FWIW: I am in the camp that says all FMC's that can reasonably and safely be made roadworthy again - should be. From what I can see that coach has great 'potential' written all over it. Hard to tell from the pics but it appears an 'A' model but not sure if it's been customized some. Good find! Terry #846

Contributor Location: Lake Waynoka, Sardinia, OH | Thanks Terry, Just when I talked myself out of it... you bring up some convincing points. I've tried to set up a time with the owner to look it over but he has not given me a definitive answer. He has told me he will not sell the wheels off of it... only selling whole. I would have a hard time parting it out anyways, I agree with you it should be made road worthy again. Kind Regards, SoundguySteve & Tankgirl484
