Yesterday and today it was time to do some brake work.  I had previously removed my MC so that Randy Bradshaw could do some analysis.  It was now time to put in the replacement MC.  That was done and a rebuilt front Hydrovac was also intalled.

A few pictures are here: http://www.fmcowners.com/mbbs22/photos/photo-thumbnails.asp?msg=update&albumid=115

It is my understanding that the Raybestos #MC36359  a correct number for a replacement for the smaller MC. Other brands can be cross referenced from that number.

Please determine if your FMC has the SMALL or the LARGE Hydrovacs. Then Search this website and the other FMC website and read all of the entries by RANDY BRADSHAW to determine what size/style/part number Master Cylinder goes with the Hydrovacs on your FMC. Over the years there has been some "strange" brake work on some of the FMCs. Brake ON, Lou #120

Hi Steve, now it's my turn to do the brake thing, I spoke to Henry Blair last Saturday and he was very helpful so now I am asking you and others who read this for info about parts and rebuilders of Bendix brake parts. I've got coach # 639 with the smaller master cylinder and hydrovac's, all need rebuilt and I may do it myself. Could you send me that list as you have for others and recommend some rebuilders and parts suppliers. Thanks, Bob Comp

The number for the replacement small master cylinder is above.

For the replacement wheel cylinders, replacements are Napa UP 28851.

The wheel cylinder kit is Napa UP 195 .

Brake shoe hardware is Napa UP2455.

Brake springs are Napa UP80164.

I do not have numbers for the boosters.  A "qualified" clutch and brake shop should be able to rebuild your boosters if that should be neccessary.
