Expert Location: Cottage Grove, OR | Due to popular demand, the next West Coast Rally will be held at Casey's Riverside RV Park in West Fir, Oregon. It is a nice, small RV park alongside the Willamette river. We have had two prior rallies at this location and everyone has liked the setting. The following is the link to the park: http://www.caseysrvpark.com . The town of Oakridge is two miles away with restaurants, stores, motels, etc.. There are no cabins at the park so if coming without an RV of some type, you will need to make a reservation at one of the motels in Oakridge. I have reserved 10 spaces at the park. They are clustered at the lower end of facility. The spaces are 57-61, 63-64, and 66-68. These are all back in spaces but if you need a pull through, those are also available nearby but I have not reserved any of them. The map of the park is easily viewable on the parks website which is linked above. I have already claimed space #60 which is one of the spaces that looks out at the river. While the rally schedule is for three nights (arrive on Friday and leave on Monday), we want you to come even if you can only be there for one or two nights. Day visitors are also welcome! There is one primary fire ring next to the pavilion provided by the park and fires are restricted to that ring. I will have firewood available for fires! It is Oregon so the possibility of rain exists even though the rally dates are before our normal rainy period. One or more popups will be setup at the rally and there is a covered facility at the park that can be used as well. I am still finalizing things with the park, but I believe everyone should make their reservations directly with the park at 541-782-1906. A small deposit will hold your site. The park rates are $45 per night for the river view sites and if we have 10 or more attendees there will be a 12% discount. When making you reservation, advise them that you are with the FMC group and the rally master is Stephen Heinrichs. As soon as you have made your reservation, please email or text me advising me of the dates of your reservation and space number. My contact information is Stephen@Heinrichs.com or my mobile is 916-425-7996. It is important to make your reservations as soon as you are confident that you will be there as if it looks like we will need more than the 10 spaces I want to reserve more close by before they are gone. I will see you at the Rally!!

Elite Veteran Location: Victoria, BC. Canada | Site #64 is in the bag. End riverfront-unit with lots of room for my sometimes unruly 80-pound Lab/Husky child. Can also aim my music off-yonder instead of right into my neigbours face :-) Now: passports, fridge repair... yada-yada! Looking forward to it. Terry & Vicki #846

Expert Location: Cottage Grove, OR | Including the Capell's in coach #621, we now have 8 FMC's coming and 1 SOB for a current total of 9 attendee's. If you are thinking about it, time to call and make your reservation.

Expert Location: Cottage Grove, OR | Time for any fence sitters to commit! Jim Woestman of Carthage, MO has just confirmed and will be in site #62. That spot was not part of the reserved group as it had been previously been reserved. Either that person cancelled or the park moved them, so we now have 11 confirmed attendee's: 10 FMC Coaches and one SOB. I really look forward to this rally. We will have a lot of good things to discuss. So far, Jim is coming the furthest at approximately 1,932 miles. See you there,

Expert Location: Cottage Grove, OR | Ok folks, it is time for a fence sitter to claim the last one of the reserved spots. It is space #68 right next to our club president so you will be in a good neighborhood! We will be setting up the gathering spot between spots 66, 67, and 68 on the one side and spots 60, 61 and 62 on the other side so it will be close to all of the discussions and the food. In the evenings, we will be having a campfire up at the central fire ring by the park's pavilion. That is the only place that fires can be used due to the fire danger. I will be bringing wood in my pickup so we will not run out! So call the park at 541-782-1906 and reserve space #68 and then let me know of your reservation.

Contributor Location: Cupertino, CA | Special thanks to Stephen (BigRabbitMan) for arranging this rally! Come on, show your support by taking the last spot, or being the person that takes the one-over! This is a great park, an easy drive, with a stream next to our spaces, bring a fishing pole! Join us in town for dinner, and chew the rubber at the gathering spots. PLEASE! Baby needs you to throw her ball! (You know you want to!)

Hopefully we can make it over the big hill in October and we'll see ya'll then.. Velcro Dave and Helen, we are looking forward to visiting with you again. It is nice to have two Canadian attendee's. You might have to drop south from I-90 on I-15 from Butte, MT to Idaho Falls then west to Boise and then on to Oregon. I think that route avoids the high passes. It all depends on the weather! See you there!

Expert Location: Cottage Grove, OR | A short status update. We now have 11 booked sites. The Capell's had to cancel, but the Wolfe's reserved so we are holding steady at the point of having 10 FMC coaches and one SOB. Additionally, I also expect another party will be staying in a motel nearby in Oakridge. That will give us 12 ownerships in attendance. I believe that is the highest number of attendee's at a rally since Minden, NB. Additionally, I have been able to put two more adjacent sites on hold: those are #56 and #57. HOWEVER, those will be released on the 21st of September if not reserved by someone else in our group. So now is the time to get "off of the fence" and reserve your spot for the rally. Rallies are the place where "the brain trust" operates to help all owners with questions about their coaches and we also have a plain good time discussing things and sharing food and perhaps have some local things to do. The above spaces do look out over the river so they are a couple of the premium spaces. As you know, registration instructions are posted above so call them now and make YOUR reservation!

Extreme Veteran Location: Ignacio Colorado | Talked with Terry last night, his coach just spit power steering fluid all over. He hopes to get a replacement pump today. I changed out my fuel system, pump, intake manifold and carb, carb, carb. The Holley from the 413HT I wanted to run sprayed fuel everywhere. 3 float bowls later I went with a thermo quad. Now I have an engine noise. Plan to change pump again this morning. If pump is my knock I’m back on track. If not I’m screwed. Bill

Elite Veteran Location: Victoria, BC. Canada | Ha ha! Pump it is then... Soon as I got some light out here I'm back at er'. Going to top up some fluid in my steering pump then run it again while under it to see exactly where the thing is puking fluid from. I've got today to get it right. Good luck Billy! Terry #846

Expert Location: Cottage Grove, OR | Keep after it guys!! I once had to change out three water pumps to make the rally a day late. But still had a great time and it was worth it. See you this weekend. The first attendee is arriving today!

Elite Veteran Location: Medford, OR | If my power steering pump is just a tad too full, it will puke it out....

Elite Veteran Location: Victoria, BC. Canada | Diagnosis confirmed: front pump shaft seal done. Puking out like a soda-fountain at a scout-camp! Ordered a reman pump based on the CCMI-3004799 parts manual reference, which didn't tell any of my parts people anything. Confident it is the Federal version and three different parts guys found a Dodge 1-ton 440' steering pump reference that crossed to a Cardone 20-840 unit. Got one en-route from up Island; should be here before lunch. Now, to get this old bitch out of there... Terry #846

Elite Veteran Location: Victoria, BC. Canada | Scratch the aforementioned Cardone 20-840 pump. Wrong one. Have this one coming from Vancouver tomorrow morning, thanks NAPA - (Cardone 20-130) https://www.carid.com/cardone/remanufactured-power-steering-pump-mpn... It's the only pump we could find that has the two mount holes on the side and hopefully one on the back also. Should be here by 9:30 and I have a guy lined up to pull the pulley off then put it all back together for me; don't have a puller and if I mangle the pulley, I'm really screwed. If all goes well and I'm ready to roll by mid to late afternoon or sooner, it's a go. Hopefully see ya all late Friday or early Sat AM. Cheers, Terry #846
