Don't know if it really works, but the Stock FMC Speedo is ELECTRIC with the Speed Sensor on the end of the short gear drive out of the transmission. It has two wires coming out of it, then a cable drive (about a foot long) to the Thermosan.

No reason it should not work. Ain't science wunnerful ? Lou #120

That looks like a good solution for a converting to a GPS speedo.
If it was not for all fjords, hills and mountains over here seems to be getting their own tunnel full of speed traps this could be interesting. Would be a easy kph speedo conversion for #477' just drop in any right size electric speedometer with a kph scale and hook it up to this unit.
Let us know how it works if you get one for your OD project.
