Location: Lake Waynoka, Sardinia, OH | One of the last ones off the line. 1976. Hard part already done... professional diesel conversion with a Navistar T444E engine and (I believe) Allison 4 speed Tranny. This thing has massive torque and also gets much better gas mileage than my 440 FMC (yes, I have 2).
The one for sale needs interior and floor work. There is no generator as the generator bay was used for an extra radiator for the diesel. There is room for a generator where the old house A/C's were and I planned to put a propane one there to take advantage of the propane tank nearby.
The roof A/C works. The engine A/C does not but it seems complete and may come to life with a charge.
It has Alcoa Wheels
Needs water holding tank work but the dump and grey water tanks function fine. Toilet works.
I would consider it a project but it does fire right up, stops great, and turns heads. Steers kinda wonky due to no weight up front. (water tanks should help or maybe some alignment work and ballasts). I've driven and camped in it many times. It's by no means a basket case.
It has the hammock bunk bed option.
Lot's of other cool stuff about it. I just wanted to put the word out as I've decided not to turn it into a mobile DJ bus as originally planned. Too many other projects. Time for someone else to move forward with this one.
Located in Southern OH
I think it's worth over well over 10k just for the diesel conversion and Alcoa's but I will let go for $9500. Was hoping to find a fan on this forum before resorting to Ebay or Bring a Trailer.
