Location: Seabeck Washington | My AC unit is mounted on a huge mess of a platform on the roof. It leaks. I plan on removing all of it and starting from the main roof to install a new unit. I have never installed an AC unit before but I don't understand why someone went to this extreme to do it, unless the old Duo-Therm is a real heavy unit. I am guessing i should be able to mount without this mess on my roof. Is there anything i should be aware of before i do this?

Location: Medford, OR | Woah!! What do you have going on there??? That's odd. A normal AC roof top unit mounts directly over an existing 14"x14" vent opening. I personally have never installed one on an FMC, but something isn't right on yours... |

Location: Olympia, Washington | It's like archaeology, I wonder what is underneath? #506 has flat, featureless roof at that point. |
