The West Coast winter rally has been scheduled and park reservations made. Eight spaces have been reserved. It will be at the Valencia Travel Village just off of I-5 on the North side of the Greater Los Angeles area.

That location makes it very accessible from all directions. The important thing is that you get your reservation in as soon as possible to Greg Miller and NOT the park as Greg is the Wagon Master and the one that has the contract with the park and is handling the money.

Doing it this way saves $10 per night for the park spaces. This is an older, but well maintained RV park and it has a semi-circle area at the back of the park that is ideal for holding our rally. It worked well last year so we are going back to the same place. Here is a link to the park website and the site map: http://www.valenciatravelvillagellc.com/working/park-map

Checks are to be made out to “Greg Miller”. Spaces will be assigned first come-first served upon receipt of payment in full. You can call Greg at 831-338-1121 with any questions.

Rates are $135 for all three nights for the reserved spaces. If you want more or less nights included, please contact Greg (see above); additional nights are $45/night if part of our rally.

We have 8 spaces currently held for our rally. They will fill up for sure. If that happens, we will try to get more spaces, but cannot guarantee spaces nearby, or at all as this is a holiday weekend. So, reserve early to get your spot!

Thanks!

Great news about the rally!!

All eight of the reserved spaces were taken before the holidays. That indicates the positive nature of attending rallies as all of the attendees and a few others that will be day visitors recognize the benefits of visiting with other owners and seeing other coaches. We have two coaches coming all the way from Missouri! If they can get there, so can you! We have a fun time and always learn something about maintaining our coaches.

MORE GOOD NEWS! Greg was able to reserve four MORE spaces so we still have room for you! One of those spaces is already taken so only three remain at the time of this posting. Time to call Greg Miller per the instructions in the top post and reserve YOUR space for the rallyl. If they are not all taken, at some point unreserved/unpaid spaces will be released back to the park. Remember that it is a holiday weekend so most likely the released sites will not be available once we turn them loose.

So call Greg and make your reservation with him (all reservations must go through him to receive the reduced rate and be with the group).

I will be seeing you there. A couple of people are coming a day early and/or staying a day longer so if that is an option for you, please contact Greg soon. I will be staying an extra day myself.

Remember, call Greg now and I will see you at the rally!

A further update: two of the additional spots have now been reserved. It is looking to be a great rally and the largest that we have had in Southern California. You do not want to miss it as you will meet old friends and meet new friends! No matter how many rallies you have been to in the past, you will meet someone new! And that goes for me as well.

So call Greg Miller and get your space reserved. We are going to have a fun and educational time.

See you there,

One last posting to remind people that you need to make your reservation for this rally. In just a few days, we will be releasing any unreserved sites. Current paid and tentatively reserved spaces include 11 coaches so it will be a nice rally.

See you there,

We have achieved lockdown! 10 spaces have been reserved consisting of seven FMC's and three SOB's (Some Other Brands). We have released the remaining reserved spaces so if you can still come, please do so but you may be in another part of the park. We have coaches coming from Oregon, California and Missouri. It is gong to be a grand celebration in great weather. Three to four other FMC's would have been there but had conflicting schedules that prevented their attendance. The Oregonians will be starting on their way south on Monday, the others are either already on their way or will be starting shortly.

I will see everyone there,

The rally is in books. We had five FMC coaches, and three SOB's. Attendee's were from Oregon, California and Missouri and we had weather in the '70's for most of the rally then it got a little cold. Aside from all the conversations and stories, we had a headlight upgrading session.

Prior to coming to the rally, Greg Miller converted his two outside headlights to LED units. Larry Enoksen had brought along with him two units that he planned on installing in his coach. So Greg, Larry and Ron Herbert installed Larry's units into his coach. They did borrow a few tools from other attendee's! The end result is that both of them liked how the LED units lite up the road as they drove their coaches in the following days. At the Mega Rally in Chama this summer, there will be another coach with LED headlights as well.

All of the attendee's at this rally, except one, will also be in Chama. So go to the Mega Rally thread and follow the posts there to schedule your trip there as well.
