| Here's one for the seasoned FMC mechanics:
I have 18" ALCOA wheels on my coach and my mechanic was shocked when he noticed there was no cap on the end of my coaches front spindles/rear hubs which contained the grease. Basically all that exists is the wheel-center cover, but nothing serving the purpose of containing/retaining the grease.
I've consulted the parts list, which features very useful exploded-view assembly drawings, but could not find anything other than the wheel-center 'cap' for the standard steel wheels.
Does anyone have a grease retaining 'cap' on theirs?
Thanks,

The cover is just a flat metal plate that bolts onto the hub. it has nothing to do with what wheels you have. There are 5 short 1/4" bolts holding in on if I remember right. Nothing special and could be made from a good steel pie tin. Use some sealant or make a gasket when you bolt it on.

| Bill,
I see what you mean. All I received is a request from my mechanic to get a hold of them as they were missing from my coach. The way they were described it sounded to me that they were something else...I looked on the parts list and now I see exactly what you're talking about.
It simply amounts to a flat disc with a few screws securing it to the hub on the front (silicon in placed first for a good seal). On the rear it looks like your typical stamped steel 'cup' that presses onto a register within the end of the hub. The rear part number is 5100115...I suppose that's a proprietary FMC part as opposed to a Chrysler part?
In any event I now see what he's referring to. Strange that they'd have been removed/lost by the PO.
Thanks,
