I have just purchased #356 and am trying to find out as much as I can. It appears there were 4 units built for NASA #'s 351, 356, 361 & 366. Besides having no windows on driver side and just 1 window on passenger side, was there anything diffrrent put into these units? Thanks for any help you can offer with any information.

Yes, there is one particular 'Special Feature' of the NASA units: if you crawl underneath and look where you would expect to find the stock 'Crap Destructor Unit' attached to the exhaust pipe, the NASA Units had installed there an FG-1194 Solid Rocket Booster which you will find most useful for passing and outrunning motorcycle cops!

Thats Great if i could just find the big red button i need to push. I have found some info after contacting Mr Black and this is it.

FMC never sold fmc motorhomes to NASA. FMC 's were purchased by another entity and then eventually sold to nasa 3 coaches.
#356 was a mobile control tower and used as a shuttle at Vandenburg air base for shuttle on the desert. Usded out of the Mt. View branch
351 was used as a mobile training vehicle
361 was gutted by RVS for Nasa/ RVS built and installed a large polar orbit tracking station. coach was later destroyed by fire when Nasa put a plastic fuel filter on the engine. Coach burnt to the frame. Totally destroyed.
366 originally sold to a private owner. RVS and factory records show only parts sales to a variety of subsequent private owners. 366 was never in RVS shop. All 3 original nasa coaches had all federal recalls performed (356, 351 & 361)
366 has no fmc factory recall information. Original factory record log has open open open and open on each recall.
hope this helps thanks for the inquiry Jim Black @ RVS INC>
