Now I know why the estimates for painting 1027 were from $25k to $35k in California. No it's not the EPA or OHSA... it's simply a lot of damn work!!! I'll upload photos this week.
Anyone have a resource for the black plastic trim covering the rivets in the window frames?
Driver's Door and Side Door rubber seal? Thanks for the help or suggestions.
Also, I'm still looking for the pieces below:
Passenger side window with slider at bottom
4 black handles for the interior cabinet doors
Plastic cabinet drawer latch in good shape found just below the sink
Original style window blinds in good condition
Interior light switches in good working order (black toggle type)
Driver's side air vent in good condition |

Can't wait to see the paint work. Wow, that's a chunk-a-change dude!
After my engine swap is done I'm going to have at mine with the HVLP (4-stage turbine) spray system I scored for $200.00.
I'll use it to lay down the white base coats then decide if I'll do the other stripes/graphics, or, hire someone.
Figure I may as well have a whack at it as I've tackled most other work myself.
On the window blinds: I went with 1" aluminum mini-blinds (in natural aluminum finish) and I couldn't be happier. Got the whole works from Home Depot for just over $300/CAD.
Got them all cut to size for every window but the two forward triangles and windshield. Also made my own wrap-around curtain for those.
Hopefully others chime-in on the other stuff for you.
Good luck!
Terry
