(174.250.42.7) | As someone who has owned a GMC motorhome and currently owns an FMC motorhome, I think that I occupy a somewhat unique position among FMC owners (#487). I am also an automotive writer, editor, and publisher and feel that the knowledge library of FMC falls short of its GMC counterparts. I want to address that shortfall.
A project that I have put on my 2021 schedule is to publish a book on FMC motorhomes. Part of the book will be a short history, possibly 1,200 to 1,500 words (I'm looking for someone to write that section), along with 20 to 22, four-page layouts that can be published on-demand through Amazon. It would be a 100-page effort (a four-page cover file and a 96-page interior file). The bulk of the interior file will comprise of 20-22 four-page spreads on individual survivors.

Having done similar 100-page print-on-demand efforts previously, I can say that such books, when self-published and distributed through Amazon, something similar to this

will sell for around $20.
What I am looking for here are those initial 20-25 owners who can supply the necessary photos and a 400-word write-up on their coach, to be published in volume one. If the project is successful, I see publishing subsequent volumes when I can assemble the necessary materials to do a 20-coach volume two and subsequent volume three.
After looking at the four-page mock-up, who among the participants here, would like to see their coach profiled in volume one? And who is willing to supply the necessary 10 or so photos along with a 400-word history narrative on your coach?
I've spoken to Stephen Heinrichs about this and it would be my intent to assemble for volume one, a cross-section of coaches from all years of production. Some would be essentially stock/original, others upgraded, including transit bus conversions.
