Contributor Location: Carthage Missouri | This location can be found by looking up Red Oak II Missoura. My personal address is also at this address--90974 County Loop 122. This is a small village that the artist Lowell Davis developed several years ago. All buildings were moved here from this area except my new home. You will camping back in past time. Very peaceful. Please use your computer to view the area. More to follow next month. Our Mega Rally is only 9 months away.

Expert Location: Cottage Grove, OR | The registration form for the 2014 Mega Rally at Red Oak II near Carthage, MO has been completed and is going to be emailed out to as many people as possible. If you don't receive it, email myself and I will email you a copy. While some people are having some challenges finding Red Oak II, the address is on the registration form attached. Put it in your GPS! I, personally, have been to the rally location in 2009 with my FMC and it is a very unique and fun place to visit. We are fortunate to have Jim volunteering to host this rally at this location. It is a rally not to be missed! Jim has arranged for many unique things to happen and there are going to be some very interesting events and places to visit as part of the rally.

Administrator Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado | First of all, never NEVER say "very unique". My mother is turning over in her grave. The word Unique is an absolute, like "pregnant", and you can never be "very pregnant". Lastly, the registration PDF can be found (HERE) But wait!! There's more! I just learned from this incredibly large PDF that you can register online, IF YOU ACT NOW! http://tinyurl.com/FMCrally So if you can read this, do NOT download that PDF, go to the URL above and register NOW,,, RIGHT NOW! ;^)

Veteran Location: Bethune, SC | Has an agenda been set for the rally? If so, where can I find it? Henry

An agenda for the business meeting has not been developed as of yet. It will probably be created sometime in June. If you want something specific to be on the agenda, email one of the club officers and it will be considered as an agenda item. There is always the ability to bring something up as new business at the meeting itself.

Veteran Location: Bethune, SC | I really meant to ask for the schedule of events for the rally. I am trying to decide whether to fly or drive. I would be a listener at any business meeting.

Expert Location: Cottage Grove, OR | That is being developed by the Rally Master, Jim Woestman. At this point, as it is still early, I would contact Jim directly. His email and phone number are available to members such as yourself by checking the "Member Roster" tab at the top of this page.

Contributor Location: Carthage Missouri | The schedule for our Mega RALLY is coming together. There will be too much to do which does not leave enough time to smell the roses so I cannot schedule everything that I want to. This reminds me that during our walking tour of Red Oak II we will visit several out door johns. All different and only one in use. This leads me to our possible pig roast with BEANS and coleslaw. More later. I just had 21 large truck loads of river rock hauled in for good R.V. parking with more to come. Pictures in next newsletter.

Expert Location: Cottage Grove, OR | 5Dollar - 2014-04-04 8:09 PM What are the preferred motels in the likely event I do not have #254 up for the trip? Thanks, Henry No motel neccessary as Jim has had period motel structures moved onto the site. Just get in contact with Jim to reserve a room for yourself. From the newsletter: "The three 1920 motel units which I had moved in will be ready. These English Tudor units will be available for guests without an RV." Much better to stay onsite than in town.

Administrator Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado | can you put me down for one 20amp hook up? I fear that dry camping will kill me, literally, electronically. If Woestman wont accommodate me then lets all remind him of how it went last time when I actually got him a refund. He may owe me $100 if this does not turn out right. I have receipts, but they may be in a box somewhere and not readily accessible

Contributor Location: Carthage Missouri | Everything is scheduled to be ready for our Mega Rally. Duplexes with outside R V hook ups are almost complete. I am not needed around here at the present so I may take off and go to Chama N M to ride my favorite train and take #617 for its second test drive. The AT545 transmission was replaced with the MT643 for my 8.2 Detroit . It is 4 inches longer. I can now cruise at 75 mph because the MT 643 has a locking torque converter. It will be ready at our Mega Rally for test driving. The shop owners that did the work will be at our rally to answer questions. This will be another good rally. See you soon.

We are only 2 miles from Route 66 so you might consider following it either coming are going.

Contributor Location: Cupertino, CA | Henry, Are you bringing the steel wheels? Maybe we can figure a way to tie them to the top of 968>>> Edited by larryenok 2014-06-27 1:36 PM

Contributor Location: Carthage Missouri | There are 3 gravel roads coming into Re Oak II off of County Loop 122. The west one has low tree limbs--the middle road has a light weight bridge with a wooden floor so please use the EAST drive way and drive to the south end of town. Weather is still cool for here (high of 90} Quail are moving back in. I am listening to one in my front yard now. Life is good. we will have a good Mega Rally. See you soon.

Contributor Location: Carthage Missouri | We are 95% ready for the Mega Rally. I have 7 full hook-ups ready and 4 more with 50 or 30 amps. Two of those have water. You should pay what you think your stay is worth but please remember that I do not take credit cards. I still have not turned on my air in my home because it is cool for this part of the country. Drive safe and trouble free. See you soon.

Veteran Location: Bethune, SC | I just got this message. I am flying out. Hurt my knee last Sunday and could not see how to make the 14 hour drive. I have taken the wheels off of the coach, but have not had the tires taken off. I will try to get that done when I get back and put together some shipping info. Looking forward to meeting you all. Contributor Location: Cupertino, CA | Not a problem. Got someone to balance wheel I was having problem with. Spent more money getting ready for trip and on making the trip so the wheels have dropped in my priorities, though I still want them.

Administrator Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado | Jim W, if i didnt say it enough at the time, it deserves repeating: Thank you so much for a great time in Red Oak. We had low expectations because that is how we like to be surprised. You and lowell showed us a great time, and I would come back to your neck of the woods in a heart beat. First, tho, I have to go back to Kansas and collect #110, which we seem to have left behind. Thanks again, and if you are ever in our neighborhood you always have a home in Colorado.
