Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado (67.190.126.233) | Every year or three, i go over the exterior with "Nu-Finish" brand car wax. Over the years, with my other vehicles, i have found this product stands up to the hype in the commercial: goes on fast, and comes off clean (the latter being my negative experience with other products I've tried). When you are waxing thirty feet of coach, time is a factor; usually takes me most of an afternoon to rub down the whole thing two or three times.
This is an age old question in the forums, and it certainly does depend on your exterior material and condition. Even if it's the original fiberglass, i have heard that this wax produces superior results. My own coach (originally the stock mustard yellow) was painted white/blue in the late 80's, and except for a little blistering, the paint is still in pretty good shape (I’ve owned it over 10 years).
Small caveat: When there is nothing left mechanically to spend money on, i am going to treat the coach to a new paint job ;-)
