Does anyone know where I can get mirrors like those on I believe it is coach 1046 (picture in album on Norther Calif Work Day Oct 2010 [oc tire pf cpacjes 1046 amd 509) i would like to find similar large mirrors like the coach in the front, mine are the origional and are too small. I am currently restoring 227, have completed engine, brake and generator rebuild and now am working on interior. (outside paint work will be last) Thanks

Hi Steven,
Those mirrors are standard Ramco mirrors. The top 2/3 is flat and the bottom 1/3 is convex. That part is easy! The complications come in when you are trying to attach them to the coach. I purchased mine through RVS a number of years ago and things have changed since then. I believe the arm is also one of Ramco's standard arms, but I may be mistaken on that.

The challenge arises when it comes to attaching the arms to the coach. The baseplate that you see in the picture was a FMC specific baseplate designed to fit our coaches. Unfortunately, that baseplate is no longer available.

That said, others have dome some things to fit other base plates to their coaches. Greg Miller's coach #708 has the same mirror as I do, but longer arms that are mounted further back. Others have used other base plates that fit in the same spot as mine.

By the way, those Ramco mirrors are available as non-powered, powered (mine), and powered and heated. Hopefully others will have a partnumber for another Ramco base plate that will work.

I added Ramco mirrors to my FMC #120. Please see the Yahoo FMC site for photos of how I did them. (Anyone is welcome to copy or transfer those photos and comments to this site if they can figure out how to do it) Press On, Lou #120.

You have to sign-in to Yahoo FMC site to have PHOTOS (and other items in list) active. Click on Photos, then thru Photo Albums to 86 of 90 (currently on 5th page, or Last page) is where you'll see Album - Ramco Mirrors on FMC #120. That location could change if some one adds or removes a Photo Album, but the title - Ramco Mirrors on FMC #120 - and 19 pictures is there. Lou.

Hey Steve---just saw Ramco truck mirrors on Ebay---We got some Velvacs with the remotes switches off of ebay and the only change we had to make was to flat machine the back of the mount to fit the front side of the coach--
