| what is the bolt pattern? what are 6 lug from? does the disc conversion fix wheel problem? Thanks!!! Mike I my be a new owner. |

Location: Cottage Grove, OR | The five lug pattern is in an eight inch circle. There isn't a wheel problem that know of. The original wheels are 17 inch wheels and many have been converted to 19.5 Alcoa wheels. Those are no longer being made. Some coaches that were converted to the 8.2 Detroit diesel were converted to 22.5 wheels to reduce engine rpm but all of those wheels work without problems. Some coaches were converted to disc brakes that use a six bolt pattern. I don't know the source of those hubs as they came from some other unknown application. The FMC transits were originally equipped with five lug disc brakes due to the heavy brake use in that application. |

Custom made wheel adapters is an option(though super expensive), there are no available sources for 5 on 8" 22.5" Alcoas(or any other aluminum wheel brand), you probably could buy blanks from Alcoa and have them machined.

I've only seen them in the 6 lug pattern that the disc brake FMC's have.
While they may have existed at one time, I've never even seen a picture of 5 lug Alcoa's in 22.5" size...I'd love to have a set.

Location: Bethune, SC | I have two coaches with 22.5 wheels. Both sets are 5 lug, 8" diameter holes, Budd 22.5 "wheels. I have no idea what the wheel number is. Hubs and brakes are stock. You can have 19.5 steel wheels built for about $200 each. Henry |

| Interesting.
My situation is that I have low profile 22.5's (they were $350 each... and that was at a discount) and I have VERY old 19.5 tires on the FMC with Alcoas.
The 22.5's are mounted on regular 10 on 11.25 pattern alloys.
Adapters seem like they would be quite costly (probably about $400 each), plus it adds one more thing to each wheel (and 10 more bolts).
I suppose the most logical thing is to sell the 22.5 tires and buy 19.5...

If you can find someone to make you adapters for $400 each please pass on that info, I priced this out last year and the best I got a shop to even consider was double that, then all the cost of hardware which drove it up another $750.

I drew up the dimensions and tolerances and supplied the wheel studs.
Total from the machine shop was about $750. It was a small shop in Henderson Nevada. Need to see if I still have their name... |
