It was found in mid-Michigan where it had been parked for a few years. No brakes, no generator, burst pipes, steering loose, a little cruddy but salvageable with the Detroit 8.2 diesel and a full tank of fuel. Drove it home about 2 hours on a real nail-biter of a ride and after 3 weeks in the shop, it now stops and steers. I installed a new generator and am now fixing some of the other stuff. No 12V interior lights when undocked but the fridge (original) works well?!?! Can't get the new headlamps or air horn to work either. No power at the lamp plugs. I'm thinking new switch but someone on this forum had mentioned headlight and horn fuses. Any idea where they might be? Thanks in advance...Fred

This was where I found the bad connection on #412. Also check at the dimmer switch on the floor. Bill

Combination of failures at both the connector above the driver lamps and in the dash. Problem solved. Thanks again for your insight...Fred

Do you have all three manuals? Owner’s manual, Parts Manual and Service Manual? Are your domestic batteries fully charged?

I have those manuals from this site. They are an invaluable reference. Thank you! The only ones that came with the coach were the 8.2 diesel manuals. Domestic batteries were fully charged, I'll check them again...Fred

It probably has the original 1,000 lb battery boiling convertor in it with two blown capacitors....

I see the fridge location in the schematic now. Looks like the original "1,000 lb battery boiling converter" as well. I'm guessing you're not a fan, so is it better to replace the caps (due to other functionality) or put in a new inverter? I have one I can salvage from my old pop-up. Thanks again...Fred

Don’t compromise! If the one you have is a three stage unit, use it. If not get a Progressive Dynamics unit. The original one is 40 amps. Mine is a 70 amp unit but 50 or 60 amps is fine.

Quite an improved form factor and getting that old "1,000lb battery boiler" out was tight. All LED lighting and 100W solar panels installed. New converter goes in this week when I have time.
