Back from a 20mi test tow, absolutely no issues, smooth, straight and perfect tracking. We'll see how much different that is with a 5000lbs offroad jeep.. | 
Acme Tow Dolly modified with a 6000lbs axle vice the 3000lbs axle it came with. | 
I had previously flat towed this rig, but, when I shifted to 40" tires I wasn't confident that the tracking/return to center would be sufficient so the dolly became a good solution. | 
No one makes tire basket straps for 40" tires so I had to make my own.
The other plus of the dolly is that if I break something I can still get it home; not always an option with flat towing.. |
