LCAC_Man #1027 LBZ Duramax Conversion

This album will cover the Duramax/Allison conversion(including dash cluster integration), installation of airbags to assist suspension, conversion of vacuum brakes to Hydroboost, replacement of Onan gas generator with a Onan/Cummins 5500LP, inverter/charger installation, dual roof a/c installation, and Bedroom reconfiguration that will add "pass-thru" storage.

engine oil cooling system, using hydraulic hose/fittings and two factory transmission coolers to cool engine oil


transmission cooling system, same hydraulic hose/fittings as the engine oil system


where I'm at now, engine/trans/generator all are in for good now...lots of plumbing and electrical to go.


main panel feeder routed inside to make the transfer switch connection. Re-purposed the old shore power receptacle box for this and just put a blank cover on it..


Transmission and Intercooler fan system install finished


there's an adjustable thermal switch under the plate as well as most of the electrical conections


battery cables enter into the rear of the coach where the chassis batteries will be located


new DC Power Inc XP270amp alternator will power the house batteries and 4000w inverter/charger

intercooler tubing reinstalled and the maze of a drive belt installed..


obviously still need to rework the taillight harness..


just need a few more fittings to complete the fuel system, radiator will go back on and it will be time to start adding fluids and doing some power up checks..


A little grooming left to do but this is close to the finish look on the passenger side
