Contributor Location: Shoreview, MN | My sending unit has a broken wire. Anyone have a working unit for sale by chance?

Elite Veteran Location: Oceanside, CA | Actually there is a rush...I had to check to see if I had it because I'm cleaning out all my old crap now...had you waited until this weekend it would have been gone. I'll take $25 plus shipping (it's an odd shape so finding a good box to ship in it will take a few days). Here's a couple pictures of it from when I first listed it. http://www.fmcowners.com/mbbs22/photos/show-album.asp?albumid=132&p... http://www.fmcowners.com/mbbs22/photos/show-album.asp?albumid=132&p...

Elite Veteran Location: Oceanside, CA | Rob, Got your email I'll dig up a box and get you a total with shipping. I do have a gauge panel for sale and it does have a good working temp gauge (2 actually one was for trans temp): http://www.fmcowners.com/mbbs22/photos/show-album.asp?albumid=132&p... I'd recommend just installing a new sending unit (they are cheap and readily available at any parts store). I'd knock $10 off the price on it if you want it (make it $65 instead of $75) and I can box it with the fuel sending unit if you want to go that way. Edited by LCAC_Man 2018-01-22 11:37 AM

Contributor Location: Shoreview, MN | Len, I'll take the panel too; thanks for the discount. I wouldn't mind knowing the tranny temp too - plus they all look in better shape than mine. I did add another small radiator with a fan to the transmission per a recommendation; it would be interesting to see if it has any effect (I included a cut-off switch when I wired it in). Thanks, Rob

Elite Veteran Location: Medford, OR | I have "in" and "out" transmission oil temp sensors on my cooler. I was surprised how well the cooler performs. On 6% hill climbs in 90* weather, the tranny would get up to around 200+, and the fluid going out of the cooler would stay around 175-180, this was in 2nd gear. If you stay in 3rd you'll end up cooking the tranny I would imagine...

Expert Location: Cottage Grove, OR | Len, do you know where our Allison’s read the tranny temp? I think it is the pan but not sure.

Elite Veteran Location: Oceanside, CA | It's dead center in the middle of the pressure manifold portion of valve body. It's about as close to the "ideal" spot you can get..
