I sent the "seller" these questions. We will see if I get a response.
1. When was the last time it was “one the road” (trip more than 20 miles) ?
2. Has it been stored inside or outside ?
3. Do all the outside Lights (headlights, taillights, brake lights, front/rear turn indicators, front/rear/cab clearance lights) work ?
4. Do the Brakes require pumping to work ?
5. Has the engine or transmission ever been rebuilt or replaced ?
5a. If so, is there any paperwork describing what was done, when, and by who ?
6. Does the Transmission “work” in ALL gears ?
7. Does the Cruise Control work ?
You list a “j” (which designates a Lounge Configuration) in the VIN, yet it has an “A” Dinette.
8. Was it “converted” from a J to an A ? By who ?
9. Does the Dash Heater/Defroster work ?
10. Does the Dash Air Conditioning work ?
10a. Do both the "house air conditioners" below the closet work ?
11. Do the Windshield Wipers work ?
12. The pictures show the window blinds down, half down, pulled too far out. Why ?
13. Do all the Opening Windows have Latches ?
14. Do all the Opening Windows slide open and shut ?
15. Do all the Opening Windows have Screens that slide open and shut ?
16. Does the Driver and Passenger side windows have a small opening slide window with a latch ?
The picture shows tabs for a Windshield and Driver/Passenger outside window covers.
17. Does it come with those covers ?
18. Do all the Awnings extend, latch, retract, have some "lock" feature to keep them retracted while the FMC is moving ?
19. Is the Awning Material still good and intact ?
20. Does the Refrigerator work ?
21. On LP gas ?
22. On 12V ?
23. On 110V ?
24. Does the Stove work ?
25. Does the Oven work ?
26. Do the Water Tanks leak ?
27. Does the House Water Pump work ?
28. Are the Grey and Black Water tanks empty ?
29. When were they last emptied ?
30. Does the Shower work and drain ?
31. Does the Toilet work ?
32. Does the Gen Set Start using the dash switch ?
33. Does the Gen Set Run ?
34. Does the Gen Set Stop using the dash switch ?
35. How many hours are on the dash Gen Set hour meter ?
36. Does the Gen Set charge the House Battery(s) ?
37. Does the “shore power” cable work to provide House power ?
The Carburetor has been changed.
38. Why was the Carb changed ?
39. When was the Carb changed ?
40. How old is the Engine Battery ?
41. Is the Engine Battery charged ?
42. How old is/are the House Battery(s) ?
43. Is/are the House Battery(s) charged ?
44. What is the Tire Pressure as it sits right now ?
44a. How many miles are on the Tires ?
44b. What is the Date of Manufacture of the Tires
45. Does it have a Spare Tire/Rim ?
46. If so, is the spare Rim aluminum or steel ?
47. Will it start right up ?
48. Can I drive it around the neighborhood ?
49. Can I drive it a few miles on a nearby freeway ?
50. Can it be driven out of State as it is right now ?
At almost 150,000 miles, I’m sure someone had many great vacations and adventures in this FMC.
Would love to hear the tale . . .
Thanks for responding.

I hope you get a response....As I ran down the list, I was checking boxes on the features working on #850, or coming up with an excuse as to why it didn't work at the moment?? lol. Just like everyone else that reads this will too!

Every time I send a CL email with a bunch of questions, one of two things happens:
1. I never hear back; or
2. I get a "just call me" message, and then when you do call you find that the answer to most of your questions is " I don't know much about it"..

If you look up the coach number in the database on this site, you will see that it came west from PA and had only a few less miles in 2005. I was the one that provided that information.

When this FMC For Sale link came up . . . I thought about what questions would I ask BEFORE I made a trip to see some For Sale FMC. What would make it worth the trip ? Just what "condition" is this or that For Sale FMC really in ? I see and hear all the time about people buying this or that vehicle SIGHT UNSEEN . . . and even more often that what ever they bought was not represented honestly by the seller. Funny how EVERY For Sale used vehicle was running when parked, had recent complete overhaul of engine, or tranny, or brakes, or suspension, or cooling system . . . but just needs some minor adjustment since it has not been operated recently . . . and then they blame the seller for everything and anything. Men and CARS, TRUCKS, BUSES, RVs, PLANES, TRAINS, BOATS ! Oh that is minor and can be easily fixed . . . but the guy saying or thinking it can't change a light bulb or nail two boards together.
There is a sucker born every minute ! - PT Barnum. If I knew then what I know now, I would have never bought the . . . ! - Yours truly.

But, some FMCs are still running around out there . . . some even better than new ! But FMCs are over 40 years old . . . which reminds me of a joke. When she turned 40, I traded her in for two 20s. Then I found out I was no longer wired for 220.
