Soooo I realized my alternator is pushing out 16volts. Boiling my batteries. It has a Leece-Neville adjustable regulator that i couldn't get to adjust. Does any one know what a model regulator is appropriate or maybe which single wire alternator fits?

this weekend will be my first camping trip in it after lots of fixing stuff. For now i just disconnected the house batteries from the Alternator.

thanks again

Did you remove the 5/32 hex screw and adjust the Phillips head screw under the hex cover ? That Phillips screw head is what is supposed to adjust the voltage, on the regulator.

No, I didn't know there was another screw under the hex. That's the first time i have ever seen an adjustable regulator.
Thanks Lou!

You should check the system voltage at the engine relay. Mine had resistance that caused low system voltage and the regulator was seeming to have issues. Fixed the resistance in the relay and all was well. The relay was originally located on passenger side firewall. Should be the only one with just 3 large wires in a single connector. Make sure you get the same voltage in and out with the key on.
